Grants of up to $20,000 to South Dakota nonprofit organizations, healthcare organizations and clinics, Indian Health Services, and IHEs to promote the prevention and early detection of cancer. Priority will be given to proposals to mitigate the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on cancer prevention and control efforts.
The South Dakota Department of Health’s Cancer Programs are pleased to announce the release of the Implementation Grant Request for Applications (RFA). The programs are soliciting applications that support the 2021-2025 South Dakota Cancer Plan, focus on evidence-based intervention implementation, and promote cancer prevention, early detection, or cancer survivorship efforts in South Dakota. Due to the impacts COVID-19 has had on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship efforts in SD, priority consideration will be provided to applicants that propose the implementation of innovative evidence-based strategies to reduce the negative impact of COVID-19 on cancer prevention and control efforts.
