Grants of $1,000 to South Dakota public and tribal libraries to improve childhood literacy. Funding is intended for programs that promote early childhood literacy with particular emphasis on libraries serving rural communities. Preference will be given to those libraries that send local librarians or trustees to training programs such as Jump Start or participate in online webinars. and libraries who have sought out or are currently seeking SD State Library voluntary accreditation.
