Grants ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to support schools; museums, performing arts and cultural programs; hospitals; skills training; educational programs; programming for youth, seniors, and people who are handicapped; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other programs that address community needs.

The Foundation provides support for specific projects or activities of an organization, as well as for operating support.

The Foundation supports organizations that can make their best case for support, and for which a small amount of money can have a large impact.

The Foundation welcomes requests for support from community-based nonprofit organizations located in the United States. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals.

Pre-Application Information:

Grants are awarded by the Foundation in the Spring and Autumn of each year.

For the Autumn round of grants, the deadline is May 10.
For the Spring round of grants, the deadline is November 10.

In those instances when the deadline date falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline shall move to the next business day. Requests received following a deadline date will be held for consideration in the following grants round.

Organizations seeking support from the Foundation may submit a letter of request, not exceeding three pages in length, which includes a brief description of the purpose of the organization, and a brief outline of the program or project for which funding is sought. In addition to the letter, the request should include a 200-word synopsis of the proposal. The request should also include the budget for the program or project and the total operating budget for the organization.

Please be aware the deadline is no longer a postmark deadline. Proposals must be in hand no later than 5 p.m. on the respective deadline date. Proposals may be dropped off at Foundation's office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Should the door be locked, applications may be submitted through the mail slot. ‚Äč

Organizations applying for the Fall grant round (May 10th deadline) can expect to receive a status update by the end of October. Organizations applying for the Spring grant round (November 10th deadline) can expect to receive a status update by the end of April. Updates will be provided by postal mail or email.

Organizations may apply once annually and may not apply for consecutive grant rounds (Autumn/Spring, Spring/Autumn).
